The Citizenship by Investment Program in Grenada was re-established under the Citizenship by Investment Act, No. 15 of 2013. The law allows foreign investors to qualify for expedited naturalization as Grenadian citizens in two ways: through real estate investment or an official donation to a state-owned foundation. There is no requirement to visit Grenada in order to qualify for citizenship. A strict due diligence procedure applies. Citizenship applications are processed within 4-6 months, and passports are issued shortly thereafter.

Questions & Answers:

Q: Is citizenship in Grenada passed on to future generations?

A: Yes. In Grenada, citizenship is transferable across generations. Once citizenship is granted, the main applicant may apply for citizenship on behalf of any new-born child. In the future, that child can apply for their own minor children (the main applicant’s grandchildren), and so on for subsequent generations.
